​MINNEAPOLIS (Jan. 25, 2012) — Cushman & Wakefield/NorthMarq (C&W/NorthMarq) Real Estate Services  recently announced that it represented a Canadian investment group in the purchase of the 255-room Ramada® Mall of America®, formerly known as the Thunderbird Hotel for $14.4 million. The hotel sits on 11.5 acres and is located at 2300 East American Boulevard in Bloomington, Minn.

Senior Vice President Pete Rand and Associate Evan Richardson of Cushman & Wakefield/NorthMarq Investment Services and Vice Presidents Ronn Thomas and Jen Helm of Cushman & Wakefield/NorthMarq Brokerage Services executed the transaction on behalf of the buyer. The hotel was owned by New National Equities, LLC, Kansas City, Mo.
